Nestled between summer pastures, verdant forests and snow-covered hillsides, La Roussière is a unique guest house, set up by Brigitte and Christian in an old mountain farmhouse nestled at an altitude of 1019 m, away from all traffic.
Situated in the heart of nature at the foot of the Plomb du Cantal, this former mountain farmhouse has been renovated in keeping with traditional Carladès architecture. On the first floor, you'll enjoy the large living room with its cantou - a large Auvergne fireplace - equipped with a wood-burning stove; the small vaulted living room (TV, children's playroom) is a former chapel. Meals can be taken as before in the large kitchen-dining room, or on the terrace in summer (no table d'hôtes). Three very comfortable bedrooms, including two suites, with views over the Goul valley. You'll be welcomed as friends in this ideal place for nature lovers and hikers. Christian, a former mountain guide, will advise you on your hikes. Brigitte will show you around her permaculture vegetable garden.
