The Faillitoux waterfall

Description

Discover one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the area. Faillitoux waterfall is located at an altitude of 1,010 m and the water falls from an impressive height of 41 metres. It crosses a lava flow that has formed a series of basalt rock columns at the foot of the waterfall.

Access: The gentle walk to the waterfall starts at the car park above the hamlet of Lasmolineries near Thiezac. It is a very pleasant and easy stroll to the waterfall and so ideal for all the family (40 minute walk there and back). Don’t forget that you are walking across private land and depending on the time of year, there could be cattle in the surrounding pastures. Please note that it is therefore unadvisable to take your dog there between May and October.
